The Days of some Slaves

She started crying

Josh walked over to her, patting her shoulder.

Josh: It's alright, you don't have to resort to that kind of stuff. You are better then that.

She left quickly, crying

Josh sighed, and continued making breakfast. Starr rolled a little, but stayed asleep.

Melissa tried calming down, when she returned she was limping. Her arms were bloody and she was miserable.

Josh saw her, then his draw dropped.

Josh: What the fuck happened?

She sat down in a chair "I'm a moron..." She said softly "I tried to-" She sighed and shook her head "Never mind"

Josh walked over to her, and closed her eyes. He put his hand on her injuries and started healing her.

Josh: You really should tell me, because if not, Starr will start blabbing about it.

She opened her eyes, confused

Josh: I can do a lot with magic. Some I shouldn't do, but I do anyway. Just tell me what happened.

"No"

Josh: Okay.

He finished healing her, then walked back to the kitchen and started cooking again. He made a meal, and set it on the table. He ate a waffle, the walked over to the door.

Josh: I'm going to find a job now, Okay?

"Absolutely not..." She sighed and said softly "We can live off of me selling my blood" She was clearly worried about him

Josh: Alright, but I'm still going out for a walk.

"Be careful" She said softly

Josh nodded, then walked out the door. He took a walk into the middle of the city. He walked into an alley, and joined a bunch of other people there.

Some people booed at him and began to throw rocks, one of them yelled "Go back to your whore of a master"

Josh: Shut the fuck up.

He continued to walk on, and was grabbed on his shoulder. He turned around to look at him.

Man: You know, half-elf ears are worth a good amount.

Josh turned to run, but was swept off his feet, landing hard on the ground. Before he could get off the ground, he was pinned, and some men were approaching him with a knife. He started yelling for help, but was immediately smacked across the face.

Melissa was there in seconds, snarling "My blood is worth more"

The men looked over at her, and one spoke up.

Man: Yeah, but it won't be as fun as carving the boy up.

"You can't if he is owned by someone" She grabbed Josh's hand "As in, DO NOT TOUCH MY SLAVE"

The men pushed her away, and turned to their attention back to Josh. His eyes were wide and frantic, and he was shaking uncontrollably.

She threw them to the ground "I haven't fed yet"

When they heard this, their eyes widen. They all started hollering about how they don't want to die.

"THEN LEAVE HIM ALONE" She let them go then piced Josh up and was at the house in seconds "I'm going to find a way for us to move"
