The Days of some Slaves

Lucy listened


(Say what they were saying)

Josh: Alright, Dan, I need to know.

Dan: About what?

Josh: Them.

Dan: Oh, fair enough. Well, I'm not sure about the woman, but I do know where the man is.

Josh: Okay, where is he.

Dan: In 'her' backyard, six feet under.

Josh: Oh. . . But you don't know where she lives then?

Dan: Some one in back may be hers, let me check.

The bartender went to into the back room, then came back. He hands him a note.

Dan: Here you go, she lives here.

Josh: Alright, thank you, Dan.

Dan: Be careful, she is also powerful in magic.

Josh: Okay, thanks.

The bartender hands him a glass of water, and he chugs it down. He then gets up off the stool, and walks out the door. He turns east, and headed into the country side.

Lucy followed him curiously

Josh walked for about 30 minutes before he came to a rather large house. He starred in awestruck, slaves were everywhere, most of them either elves or half-elves. He glared in anger, and walked up to the door, and knocking on it.

She continued to watch

The door swung open, and a pretty good looking woman walked in. She was some where in her early to mid 30's, and gave him a curious look.

Woman: What the hell do you want? I thought you were suppose to be in the field working?

Josh: Ma'am, I am not one of yours. I belong to someone else. What I want to know is, what happened between you and an elf named Gerald?

Woman: Oh, him, yeah, we used to date, even though he was one of our slaves. He had some sex, and at 16, I had his kid. He was born, like the mutt he was. Eventually, I didn't want to date him anymore, and this was all secret, by the way, so, I had him killed. I also sent the child away to be killed as well. Never seen him again, I don't even remember his name.

Josh: Ah, right, well, you don't think he survived, did he?

Woman: No, I don't. . . Oh my God. . .

Josh: Yeah, oh my God indeed, you bitch.

He lifted his hand, and sent her flying with a wall of wind. She snapped her fingers, and Josh was hit by a fire ball. He grabbed his scorched arm, and quickly backed up. He sent a hand of stone flying at her, and she made it go away. He then made a ball of energy in his hand, and the woman clapped. The energy ball exploded, sending Josh sailing across the lawn, into a statue. She walked over to him, and put her food down on his throat.

Woman: Now, time to die.

She pulled out a pistol, and took aim at his head, but waited, wanting him to die slowly.

Lucy threw her off and snarled "Don't you DARE harm my mistress' love" She was pissed off and put a knife to the woman's throat "You bitch...you're Josh's Mom aren't you?"

An evil smile grew across her face.

Woman: But of course. And my little Joshy is in love, oh, so cute. Maybe I would have to give you guys a visit.

Lucy smirked "Fine, meet Melissa...tell her what you did..." She squeezed the woman's throat "Let's see her rip you to shreds...and maybe her baby will drain you dry"

Woman: Yes, but you should really be careful around a witch.

She disappeared, leaving her clothes behind. The started wrapping around Lucy, trapping her in them. The woman was sitting on the roof, wearing shorts and a t-shirt, laughing at Lucy.

Woman: Try to escape, but not too hard, I always love getting new help.

She escaped easily, smirking "I'm half witch...And Melissa has killed many witches before"

Woman: I'm not scared of her, not at all. Nor am I of you. I have killed far more powerful foes then you, slave. I have no weaknesses.

Her eyes got wide, and she looked down. Through her chest, was a hand, holding her still beating heart. From behind her, Josh grabbed her head, and pulled it back.

Josh: I think arrogance is a good weakness.

He then crushed the heart, and let her tumble off the roof onto the ground. He slid off the roof, and landed next to the corpse, and spit on it.

Lucy hugged him tightly "I'm sorry she was your Mom...and what happened to Gerald"

Josh: Come with me, I think I can find him.

He walks into the backyard, with all of the slaves cheering at their new freedom. After about a one minute walk, they arrived at a grave with Gerald's name on it.

Josh: I didn't even know them throughout my life, and I finally figured out who they were this past week. . .

"We can move his body...Melissa wouldn't mind it, and you need to be close to him...even if he's gone"

Josh: My mom's specialty was fire magic, and she took care of dad herself. There is no body. . .
