She frowned, then got upand headed out the door. "I don't know you"

He sat in front of the door with his legs crossed. "You were in second grade, I was in fifth. I got picked on for being smart, and you for not being their version of pretty." He looked past her, into the distance. "I would always read. You were the first person to talk to me in my whole school life at that point."

"I-I don't remember any of it..." she said softy. "After Daddy hit me with a brick, most of my memory faded"

He stood and sighed. "Maybe one day.." He turned to the door and opened it. The hallway was dark, but he could still see. "Good night.." He spoke softly, then headed out of the room.

She stood there,feeling alone. Then she went to a corner and curled up, "Daddy will be furious..." she said softly

He paced outside the room. Not sure what to at this point. He had set up the locks on the windows, and on her door. He knew she couldnt escape.

She felt miserable, then felt around for a weapon to use on herself

Braysen heard her moving then went back into the room. "I am staying in here tonight." He stated and sat down in a chair facing her.

She ignored him and stayed awake, hugging her knees. She just wanted to go home, she began crying again.

Brayden moved closer to her and sat across from her on the floor. "Don't cry. There is nothing to be upset about."

"I just want to go home.."

"Why? Because you know he will be mad if you don't?" Braysen asked looking at her intensely.

"I don't want to be here..."

"He has brain washed you.. You used to be so.." Braysen stood quickly and paced.

"I don't even know you..."

"You used too.." He looked at her. "That dorky little girl used to be my only friend."

"I don't remember...all I know is I was stupid, ugly, and fat until daddy changed me"

Braysen got into a little drawer in the table and pulled out a few pieces of paper. "You were smart and funny and adorable.." He set the papers in front of her. The were highest grade awards and attendance awards with her name on them. "You told me to keep them, so I would always remember you when I left.."

She tossed them to the ground, "Lia...I never went to school"

"You did until he took you out.." He started to pace again.

"Liar," she snarled, then started to leave

"I'm not lying!" He said grabbing her shoulders and looking into her eyes.

She pushed him off, "Whatever," then started to leave

Braysen grabbed her again. When he did a shock went through them both and the door bolted without warning. He let go as quickly as he grabbed on and stepped back.

She glared at him, "I hate you, who'd ever be friends with a dumbass like you," then she headed back to her corner and curled up
